The player, comes from an independent colony made by and for independent mercenaries. While the actual rich live in colonies on the moon untouched by the massive amount of fighting. The current year is 2021, and corporations have begun warring with each other over resources, and essentially grabbing civilians from corporately owned colonies to fight as mercenaries/corporate slaves. The corporations essentially won in 2014.Īfter the corporations took over, they immediately broke apart and began taking areas of various countries for themselves. Because of the war most of the worlds nations collapsed it allowed corporations with private armies to band together to take over the remaining superpowers. My ravenfield world is in an alternate history where the cold war led to WW3 in 2007.
